Assistance required for implementation Technical and financial assistance for:

 Learning about best practices;

 Updating and/or adapting the existing quarantine and customs regulations;

 Advice on the preparation of procedural manuals to include second sampling for
quarantine and customs purposes;

 Updating of the regulations on quarantine sampling;

 Provision of high-technology equipment for existing laboratories;

 Strengthening of existing diagnostic laboratories;

 Advice and technical support for the accreditation and certification of government
and private laboratories to perform second testing;

 Capacity building and training for quarantine and customs staff;

 Capacity building for border agencies and technicians;

 Capacity building.
