Assistance required for implementation There is a need for a support to:
• Create a country wide sensitization and awareness to exporters, importers, Clearing and Forwarding Agencies (CFAs), transporters on the Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) program and criteria there-off;
• Select basing on specified criteria, operators who qualify for AEOs and continuously build their capacity; and
• Develop a national framework or mechanism for coordinating and cooperating between customs and border agencies in relation to AEOs.
