1. Technical assistance and support for changing/adapting legal provisions and procedures for the handling and expedited release of perishable goods; 2. Technical assistance and support for defining and establishing formal inter-agency agreements, operational guidelines or standards in order to ensure the cooperation and coordination of border authorities regarding the inspection and release of perishable goods as priority goods; 3. Assistance and support for recruitment of inspections staff, as well as trainings and capacity building for border customs, police and inspection staff for more effective and coordinated release of perishable goods; 4. Technical, IT and financial assistance and support for the upgrade of CIS to support pre-arrival processing and expedited release of perishable goods. |
